Customer Onboarding

Customers must complete the customer onboarding process when they first arrive on your platform to transact. Coinme must collect Know-Your-Customer (KYC) information to adhere to AML laws and regulations in the specified jurisdiction.

There are two options to onboard customers:

Customer Onboarding using Existing KYC Process
Customer Onboarding using Coinme's KYC process

Partners can choose which option suits them best based on their use case.

A 500 error on the onboarding endpoint can result from a temporary service disruption, an invalid request payload, or a data conflict such as a duplicate account. Please check the Coinme status page for any known incidents, then review your request body for malformed or missing fields. If the error continues, share the full error response and request timestamp with Coinme Support for investigation.
